Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer who enjoys travelling?

We currently have an exciting role for an international FMCG machine manufacturer that is looking to establish an autonomous team to service all of their PLC, high-grade manufacturing machinery in the UK and Ireland with some travel to the USA/Mexico and the Middle East.

This role is 80% UK & Ireland based working from home and travelling directly to customer sites in the UK and Ireland with around 20% travel further afield.

The successful candidate must be electrically qualified and mechanically skilled with PLC Siemens experience.

The role will involve maintenance, install and some commissioning

Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK but the senior team is currently located in the North West so ideally you'll be located within commutable distance of this location

Our client is an innovative automation engineering organisation. Due to a large volume of work, they are looking for 5 x  Electricians, to work on a contract for the next 3 months.

Our client is one of the premier suppliers of automated equipment to the worldwide aircraft industry. They hire engineering graduates, lowering the barriers to entry. These are roles which will enable you to gain invaluable experience from highly experienced engineers. It is an opportunity to mould your career with a fantastic support network in place.

The roles are very hands-on and the successful candidates will need to ability to use various hand tools and equipment in order to fault find and repair machine faults during reactive and preventative maintenance procedures.

You will need to be determined and have great attention to detail, with the ability to work under your own guidance and be part of a team after successfully completing a machine familiarisation training package. At times, you will need to be customer facing and be mindful of customer site requirements.

You will join one of their support teams immediately and be given an initial training plan to follow. During the initial training period, you will be shadowing experienced engineers to gain the skills and knowledge required to complete your initial training. We are looking for people who love working in a team, are determined and like to solve complex problems, keen to constantly learn new things and expand their knowledge.

Shifts

You will be working on a combination of 4 on 4 off day shifts and 4 on 6 off day shifts, consisting of 12 hour early shifts (6am-6pm) and 12-hour late shifts (8.40am – 8:40pm) with shorter 10 hour early and late shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. All engineers discuss which shifts to work so it's not set.

The 12-hour early and late shifts are paid 11.5 hours, and weekend shifts are paid 9.58 hours.

The overall shift multiplier on average is just over 1.3.

All support shifts outside of Monday to Friday are paid at a shift premium.

Skills

Candidates are expected to have good practical skills in assembly, be comfortable around tools and can demonstrate this.

  • CATIA or other CAD Skills are an advantage.
  • They supply equipment both locally and the world so you will need to be open to travelling and operating outside customer facilities.
  • You will need a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, ideally electrical, mechanical, aerospace or a derivative of.
  • You will need a full UK driving license.

We're looking for a Financial Accountant for an exciting knowledge-based start-up business which is focused on enabling agile manufacturing for a sustainable future - delivering tailored cross-disciplinary solutions for volume-ready production.

Reporting to the CEO and the board you will have responsibility for the production of all financial reporting documents on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis these would include:

  • Profit and loss
  • Balance sheet
  • Cash flow
  • Bookkeeping
  • Budgets and forecasts
  • Project finance summaries and claims
  • Analysis of the above financial control documents identifying any adverse risks or areas out of control or not being achieved from budget/forecasts

The scope of responsibility:

  • Total financial management control
  • Bank reconciliations and payments to supply chain
  • Debtor control
  • Salaries and timely payments
  • Cash control
  • Cost models ensuring margin achieved
  • Legal Compliance from a financial and HMRC perspective
  • Financial support to all Stakeholders including Investors, Shareholders, Directors, Universities, Partners etc
  • Fund sourcing and input to produce appropriate applications

You will need to ensure legal compliance regarding tax and NI, VAT, financial accounts, company house returns, annual returns and more.

This role is part-time (16 hours a week), with a pro-rata salary of £60,000.

This is predominantly a remote role, with one day a month being on-site in Liverpool, at the most twice a month.

This is a start-up environment so you will be the sole person in accounts so you will need to be confident to run operations independently.

Ideally, you'll have 5 approx 5 year's experience, be CIMA qualified and have some experience working in manufacturing.
