Responsibilities:

  • To proactively support Engineers and Corporate Clients on a daily basis
  • Managing a variety of different queries, quickly and efficiently, providing a first-class service via our designated portal system.

Tasks:

  • Deliver a multi-skilled service, working closely with field engineers to help deliver excellent customer service and back-office processes.
  • Meeting deadlines and delivering against department KPIs
  • Dealing with incoming client enquiries
  • Managing enquiries and issues raised ending in a positive resolution.
  • Area coordination and task list completion
  • Sales focus for parts and service quoting

You will need:

  • Previous telephone customer service experience
  • Previous Helpdesk experience working within the FM, Construction Industry would be beneficial.
  • To be able to confidently resolve issues and manage difficult and challenging situations.
  • To be a self-starter, who also enjoys working as part of a team
  • Industry relevant qualifications (not essential)You will be working for a nationwide company which specialises in Facilities Management working for high-end customers in the UK, and the Republic of Ireland. We have some great opportunities for Engineering Graduates (BEng) ideally in aerospace, electronic/electrical or mechanical, to work for a world leader in the design and manufacturing of aerospace tooling and automation to gain invaluable skills and experience.

You will have an opportunity to predominantly work at Airbus alongside having opportunities to travel internationally on projects.

Some of the projects include - complete automation assembly systems for commercial aircraft wings, riveting machines and tools for wing panel and fuselage assembly, robotic assembly systems and spacecraft handling equipment.

This role is very hands-on and the successful candidate will need to ability to use various hand tools and equipment to fault find and repair machine faults during reactive and preventative maintenance procedures.

You will need to be determined and have great attention to detail, with the ability to work under your own guidance and be part of a team after successfully completing a machine familiarisation training package. At times, you will need to be customer facing and be mindful of customer site requirements.

You will join one of their support teams immediately and be given an initial training plan to follow. During the initial training period, you will be shadowing experienced engineers to gain the skills and knowledge required to complete your initial training. We are looking for people who love working in a team, are determined and like to solve complex problems, keen to constantly learn new things and expand their knowledge.

Shifts

You will be working on a combination of 4 on 4 off day shifts and 4 on 6 off day shifts, consisting of 12 hour early shifts (6am-6pm) and 12-hour late shifts (8.40am – 8:40pm) with shorter 10 hour early and late shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. All engineers discuss which shifts to work so it's not set.

The 12-hour early and late shifts are paid 11.5 hours, and weekend shifts are paid 9.58 hours.

The overall shift multiplier on average is just over 1.3.

All support shifts outside of Monday to Friday are paid at a shift premium.

Skills

Candidates are expected to have good practical skills in assembly, be comfortable around tools and can demonstrate this.

  • CATIA or other CAD Skills are an advantage.
  • They supply equipment both locally and the world so you will need to be open to travelling and operating outside customer facilities.
  • You will need a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, ideally electrical, mechanical, aerospace or a similar
  • You will need a full UK driving licence.

We are looking for a Fire & Security Engineer for a permanent job.

In this role you will undertake the checking, testing and/or setting into operation of equipment and systems in accordance with quality procedures, the project specification, the project programme, technical directives and the specified standards. When the system is operational, to demonstrate to the customer the system complies with the contract specification.

To provide a professional service to meet customers’ requirements and to ensure compliance with the National British or other relevant Standards.

Work will include:

  • Providing  services and call-out engineering for equipment and systems in accordance with service specifications, the customer specifications and or British or other Defined Standards.
  • Recording and providing the appropriate information required to comply with the same standards and specifications including works reports, check sheets and test records. Porviding this information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaising on-site with the customer's designated representative(s).To liaising with other contractors/subcontractors, to ensure site operations are fully coordinated.
  • Acting as a responsible team member, to ensure the service or project manager is fully informed of the progress of the engineering activity.
  • Ensuring all site documentation, drawings and schedules are updated with any changes as routine servicing or commissioning proceeds.
  • Demonstrating to the customers representative(s) that the equipment and system complies with the contract specification.
  • The training of the customer's staff, as required by the contract terms and conditions.
  • Attending personal training programmes as required.
  • Preparing time sheets, on a weekly basis.
  • Refering to your department manager for technical support, when required.
  • Ensuring any request by the customer for extra works is referred to the service / project engineer for acceptance/approval, to ensure the correct contractual procedures are followed.
  • Ensuring any non-compliant systems, equipment or materials are identified and reported back to the supervisor in sufficient detail so that the customer can be informed and corrective actions can be taken.
  • Ensuring all damaged or faulty equipment is carefully packed and immediately returned to the office for investigation as appropriate.
  • When requested to respond to emergency call-outs, to ensure the customer receives service support (during normal working hours)

We're looking for someone with excellent people and communication skills as the role involves dealing with customers and potential customers. You will require patience, understanding and the ability to act calmly and resolve difficult situations. A logical approach to fault diagnosis is a distinct advantage. Self-motivated with good personal organisation, forward planning and the ability to provide accurate reports where necessary. You will be expected to represent the company in a professional and diligent manner at all times.
