In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage (HV) electrical equipment and systems. Your expertise and technical qualifications in HV systems will be critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of HV systems and compliance with relevant UK regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair HV electrical equipment and systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relays.
• Perform routine inspections and tests on HV systems to identify potential faults or malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, implementing appropriate repairs or replacements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Conduct electrical risk assessments and develop appropriate control measures.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop maintenance plans and schedules for HV equipment.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Stay updated with the latest technological advancements, regulations, and industry best practices in HV systems.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an HV Fitter or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of high-voltage electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Strong technical skills in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HV systems.
• Familiarity with UK regulations, codes, and standards relevant to HV electrical work (e.g., Electricity at Work Regulations, BS 7671).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Ability to perform electrical measurements, tests, and fault-finding procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Valid UK driving license (if required for travel between job sites).
• Relevant technical qualifications such as City & Guilds 2357 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Additional certifications related to HV systems, such as the National Grid Authorised Person certification, would be advantageous.

We have some great opportunities for Engineering Graduates (BEng) ideally in aerospace, electronic/electrical or mechanical, to work as support engineers and as a Mechanical Design Engineer for a world leader in the design and manufacturing of aerospace machine automation to gain invaluable skills and experience.
You will have an opportunity to predominantly work in Airbus (Broughton), alongside having opportunities to travel internationally on projects.
Some of the projects include - complete automation design, assembly systems for commercial aircraft wings, riveting machines and tools for wing panel and fuselage assembly, robotic assembly systems and spacecraft handling equipment.
This role is very hands-on and the successful candidate will need to ability to use various hand tools and equipment in order to fault find and repair machine faults during reactive and preventative maintenance procedures.
You will need to be determined and have great attention to detail, with the ability to work under your own guidance and be part of a team after successfully completing a machine familiarisation training package. At times, you will need to be customer facing and be mindful of customer site requirements.
You will join one of their support or design teams immediately and be given an initial training plan to follow. During the initial training period, you will be shadowing experienced engineers or Design Engineers to gain the skills and knowledge required to complete your initial training. We are looking for people who love working in a team, are determined and like to solve complex problems, keen to constantly learn new things and expand their knowledge.
Shifts
You will be working on a combination of 4 on 4 off day shifts and 4 on 6 off day shifts, consisting of 12 hour early shifts (6am-6pm) and 12-hour late shifts (8.40am – 8:40pm) with shorter 10 hour early and late shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. All engineers discuss which shifts to work so it's not set.
The 12-hour early and late shifts are paid 11.5 hours, and weekend shifts are paid 9.58 hours.
The overall shift multiplier on average is just over 1.3.
All support shifts outside of Monday to Friday are paid at a shift premium.
Skills
Candidates are expected to have good practical skills in assembly, be comfortable around tools and can demonstrate this.
- CATIA or other CAD Skills are an advantage.
- They supply equipment both locally and the world so you will need to be open to travelling and operating outside customer facilities.
- You will need a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, ideally electrical, mechanical, aerospace or a derivative of.
- You will need a full UK driving license.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new inorganic formulations for 3D printing technologies. Your work will involve developing formulations from scratch, as well as optimising existing products.
You will be part of the formulations team, which is fast-paced, with diverse challenges so you'll require adaptability and the ability to work together as part of a growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Formulation and optimisation of products to meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.
· Develop and execute formulation strategies, including material selection and optimisation of processing parameters.
· Design and execute experiments to evaluate new formulations and identify areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, material scientists, and supply chain to ensure successful scale-up and commercialisation of products.
· Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure product performance and quality meet customer expectations
· Develop an understanding of relevant regulations and ensure products comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations
Requirements:
· BSc in Chemistry
· Strong knowledge of inorganic chemistry and formulation principles
· Experience with formulation development and optimisation, including material selection and process optimisation
· Experience with analytical techniques, such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and NMR
· Strong communication skills
