Financial Accountant

We're looking for a Financial Accountant for an exciting knowledge-based start-up business which is focused on enabling agile manufacturing for a sustainable future - delivering tailored cross-disciplinary solutions for volume-ready production.
Reporting to the CEO and the board you will have responsibility for the production of all financial reporting documents on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis these would include:
- Profit and loss
- Balance sheet
- Cash flow
- Bookkeeping
- Budgets and forecasts
- Project finance summaries and claims
- Analysis of the above financial control documents identifying any adverse risks or areas out of control or not being achieved from budget/forecasts
The scope of responsibility:
- Total financial management control
- Bank reconciliations and payments to supply chain
- Debtor control
- Salaries and timely payments
- Cash control
- Cost models ensuring margin achieved
- Legal Compliance from a financial and HMRC perspective
- Financial support to all Stakeholders including Investors, Shareholders, Directors, Universities, Partners etc
- Fund sourcing and input to produce appropriate applications
You will need to ensure legal compliance regarding tax and NI, VAT, financial accounts, company house returns, annual returns and more.
This role is part-time (16 hours a week), with a pro-rata salary of £60,000.
This is predominantly a remote role, with one day a month being on-site in Liverpool, at the most twice a month.
This is a start-up environment so you will be the sole person in accounts so you will need to be confident to run operations independently.
Ideally, you'll have 5 approx 5 year's experience, be CIMA qualified and have some experience working in manufacturing.

Senior Controls Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Controls Engineer for a world-class leader in providing automated and robotic systems for industrial and scientific applications. Our client designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of complex automated systems using the very latest robotics, servo, PLC and vision systems.
As Controls Engineer you will be working alongside Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers to design, programme and commission bespoke automation machinery.
You will be utilising your skills and experience to write full machinery PLC software from scratch, create screens and programme HMIs, programme a range of robots and produce supporting technical documentation.
- Fully test and commission the equipment and machinery to ensure a successful FAT & SAT.
- Programme a range of robots including ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa.
- Alongside the wider design team produce required technical documentation complying with UK and international standards and machinery directives, including risk assessments and machinery manuals.
- Writing full machinery PLC software from scratch, creating screens and programme HMI's
Skills
- Experience with Siemens and Rockwell programming software. (TIA Portal, RSLogix, WinCC etc).
- A good understanding and experience of UKCA/CE Technical file creation including risk assessments
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics and vacuum systems
Qualifications
- Degree/equivalent or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
- HND, HNC, BTEC
- Around 4 years or more industry experience
This role is full-time and permanent. You'll be largely site based near Bredbury so you will need to be in commuting distance. There will be some travel (around 20% of the year) but mainly within the UK.

A skilled labourer is needed on-site in Milton Keynes. This is a temporary position, for 6 months until the end of 2023.
Successful applicants would need to be hard working and have an up to date CSCS card
General duties will involve keeping the site clean and tidy, assisting trades and moving and relocating materials.
Rate of pay is £16ph CIS or umbrella and you will be paid weekly .

The work involves building up levels and installing rebar mesh in preparation for large concrete pours over the next 5 months.
- 10hrs per day potential for 12hrs if needed.
- Potential to work weekends

You'll need experience with rebar mesh works and concrete pours and all the relevant up-to-date tickets/cards/certification for working on construction sites.
