We're looking for a Site Manager for a contract role in Kingston Upon Hull.

Do you have your SMSTS and CSCS cards?

Are you conversant with CDM regulations and the running of industrial sites?

If so we want to hear from you.

Ideally, you'll have good PC skills, vocational skills and an industrial build background.

The work involves controlling and running the day-to-day activities of site inductions, permits,  daily reports etc. You will  also be working to the plans provided and working closely with the site contractors.

Rate of pay is £350 a day Ltd/CIS.

This contract will run for 6 months initially with the potential to be extended to work on similar contracts  elsewhere in the U.K. in 2025

External Sales Manager

We are looking for an external sales specialist,  ideally with some previous experience in additive manufacturing/metal powder sales.  The role will be focused on growing the business by finding new business in new and existing markets. 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Focus on generating sizeable additional revenue through new customers.  
  • Conduct technical and commercial discussions with customers at all levels and present seminars when required. 
  • Support the generation of quotations and lead customer negotiations as necessary, providing follow-up and feedback on submitted quotes. 
  • Identifying, communicating, and supporting cross-selling opportunities. 
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline with sufficient growth opportunities to exceed your budgeted revenue and five-year business plan. 
  • To prepare and agree your annual revenue budgets or any such financial data as and when required. 
  • Issue monthly, 12 month rolling revenue forecast revisions. 
  • Provide feedback on customers, competitors, opportunities, markets, pipeline, and other sales related activities as required.  
  • Find new materials and equipment markets for products including but not limited to Additive Manufacturing, Brazing and a variety of hard facing applications in your area. 

About you

  • Ideally educated to degree/HNC level in engineering or qualified by experience. 
  • Technical sales background within aerospace, oil and gas or other highly regulated industries. 
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills. 
  • Ability to utilise and understand budgets and forecasting.  

Essential skills   

  • Target-driven and self-motivated. 
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to communicate within all levels of the organisation. 
  • Strong industry knowledge in powder materials.  
  • Advanced IT skills in particular Microsoft Office and SAP. 
  • Experience of using CRM systems. 
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings. 
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to introduce our products and services to customers.

What you'll be doing
- Overhaul pumps
- Operate manual milling and turning machines to fabricate parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
- Use hand tools to assemble components
- Weld components when necessary
- Handle materials effectively for production processes
- Utilize logic controllers for machine operations

Requirements
- Experience with manual milling and turning machines
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and tooling
- Experience with materials handling in a workshop setting
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Familiarity with CAD software for design purposes

Contract length: 3 months. This is a full-time role and a temp-to-perm opportunity.

We are looking for an Electrically biased Field Service Engineer to join a skilled team; working for a global leader in conformal coatings.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing industrial PLC machines for their national and international customers.

This role will be based primarily in Ireland (60%), with some travel in the UK/Europe.

Field Service Duties

  • Installation of OM products
  • Issue customer-layouts
  • Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and Maintenance of PLC machinery
  • Systems and components repairs
  • Service project preparation and management

Technical Support

  • Customer phone support
  • Internal customer support related to technical issues
  • Obligation to inform the customer concerning security issues in writing in the service reports (porosity hoses, gas leak detector function etc.)

Qualifications

  • NVQHNC/HND Qualification in Electro/Mechanical Engineering
  • Time served apprentice

Required skills and expertise

  • Electro-technical training
  • Knowledge of PLC Technology
  • Knowledge of pneumatics
  • Knowledge of mechanics
  • Knowledge of robotics
  • Electrical maintenance
  • PLCs/Mechanical works
  • Expert knowledge of processes and capabilities
  • Ability to operate at all levels, internally and externally

Salary: £43-45,000 annual salary - with OT and bonuses, car allowance and expenses closer to a £65,000 package

  • 10% annual bonus
  • Car allowance of £6-8K PER YEAR
  • OT offered - potential to earn up to £10,000 extra per year
  • Travel - 60% work in Ireland and UK

We're looking for an experienced Quality Inspector for contract work wit our client.

Reporting to the Inspection Manager you will inspect components to drawing specifications and, where required, complete inspection and first article reports. You will require an understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances in order to carry out manual inspection, as well as using CMM’s, Contour Trace, Surftest, and 1st principle techniques, ensuring you adhere to the company’s quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include verifying documentation, and ensuring drawings, parts and documentation are all in order at both the commencement of your operation and upon completion of your operation.

The role will involve liaising with engineering and manufacturing personnel regarding drawing interpretation and results.

This is an 8 week contract and we are looking for someone who is available to start straight away.

Rate of pay is £30ph.
