We are looking for a Control Systems Project Engineer to deliver a range of projects. This role offers the opportunity for regular, world-wide travel.

The right candidate will be someone who is happy being customer facing at times and can design, write and modify PLC and HMI code on various systems (predominantly Allen Bradley). The role involves worldwide travel on average 6 times per year.

The work includes design, testing and modification of process control systems, including writing functional design specifications, writing PLC and HMI controls software, preparing documentation, and performing on-site training, start-up support and commissioning.

  • Writing, testing and fault finding within controls software.
  • Preparing quality documentation (flow sheets, functional design specifications, electrical wiring diagrams, etc.)
  • This will be customer facing as you will be travelling to the client base and corresponding with them - no sales.

Qualifications Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or automation/controls
  • A minimum of 3-years’ experience within a control systems engineering environment.
  • Proficient in designing, writing and modifying PLC and HMI code on various systems (such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon and similar).
  • Competent in AutoCAD, DraftSight or similar design software.
  • Full driving licence

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Nottingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work

Experience:

  • Control Engineering: 3 years' experience required

  • United Kingdom (required)
